Federal OSHA Weekend Work Initiative

Federal OSHA announced its Weekend Work initiative which will allow for workplace safety and health inspections to take place on Saturdays and Sundays throughout Fall 2022. This initiative is meant to specifically focus on construction-related fall hazards. According to OSHA, job sites are not as well monitored and supervisors/safety managers are less likely to be present on the weekends. These weekend inspections are expected to occur in Colorado (Arapahoe, Douglas, Jefferson, El Paso, Adams, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Larimer, and Weld counties), Montana (Yellowstone, Carbon, Stillwater counties), and South Dakota (Minnehaha, Lincoln, Brookings, Pennington, Union counties).
